Remedial massage a preventative form of treatment. Sports massage is a great massage to have if you in training, preparing for a race and recovering from one. They differ depending on where your at in your training. Assisting in correcting soft tissue problems and imbalances, caused by repetitive and strenuous physical activity. A sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

Remedial massage is a form of Soft Tissue Therapy that promotes recovery and aids in preventing injury, using a wider set of skills and supporting knowledge.  

 

This specific form of body work involves direct physical action on the muscle and other soft tissues of your body. Soft tissue techniques targets your muscles, tendons, ligaments, or other connective tissue such as fascia.

 

Massage is probably the best known example of a soft tissue technique, as it stretches and releases the muscle. A soft tissue massage includes a whole range of massage depths, pressures and techniques are right for your body at any given time, aiming to alleviate aches, pains and injuries that are attributed to your body’s soft tissues.
